Gerry Broekman
Director

Gerry remembers the early days when brick manufacturing was all manual, mostly by hand and using wheel barrows, before the times of forklifts, loaders and machinery which made a difference to the hard labour of years gone by. Gerry remembers watching his father making bricks, by hand in Holland, when he was a small boy, he pretty much grew up making bricks.

Gerry started at Namoi Valley Bricks with his four brothers, father and one brother-in-law in 1959. He took over the reins of the business in 2000 and since then retired and then went into semi-retirement, pretty much straight away, as he continues to work part-time whilst pursuing his outside interests, one being his beloved Chrysler.
